BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Matt Krumdiack and Tag Watson won the Borderline Bassin' Contenders Lake Whatcom Fall Open with a five-fish limit of 21.86 pounds while claiming big fish at 5.20 pounds.

Robert Mann and David Parnicky took second with a 19.72-pound bag that included the second-biggest fish of the day at 4.88 pounds. David Thomas and Rich Pratt rounded out the top three with 15.54 pounds.

Anglers experienced unseasonably warm weather in the low 60s, low wind and a high sun.

By taking third place, Brandon Thomas locked up angler of the year honors with Borderline Bassin' Contenders.
