FERNDALE -- Kyle Linderman took first place April 14, 2018, at the Borderline Bassin' Contenders' season-opening tournament at Lake Terrell with a five-fish limit of 19.62 pounds. Brothers Andrew and Shane Reeves took second place with a limit of 18.32 pounds, followed by third-place team Thongpun But and Aet But with a limit of 16.46 pounds. Anglers for the most part experienced a hot morning bite followed by a slow afternoon. Conditioned remained mostly cloudy, with little wind and very light rain at times.
