BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Aaron Weinberg took first place July 28, 2018, at the Borderline Bassin' Contenders Lake Whatcom Individual Open with a five-fish limit of 17.74 pounds.
Brandon Thomas took second with 16.73 pounds, and Kyle Linderman took third with 16.31 pounds, contested closely by Russ Avery with 16.30 pounds.
Tyler Wasilewski caught the big fish of the tournament at 4.28 pounds.
Anglers experienced clear skies, little wind and temperatures in the 80s. Many reported catching lots of fish but found it difficult to find quality ones.
